All change for city bar
By
AFTER weeks of re-branding, re-structuring and renovation, The Slug and Lettuce finally opened its shiny new doors to hundreds of thirsty residents on Saturday.
Having spent more than £180,000, the former Casa bar has been transformed into a new venue complete with separate window, bar, chill out and dining zones.
With the help of atmospheric lighting and varied seating styles, designers have created different moods in each zone.
General manager James Leggott said: "There's been a huge amount of investment and work gone into the bar and I'm confident that The Slug and Lettuce will be a welcome addition to ' busy social scene."
The interior has also been given a subtle earthy colour scheme. Timber panelling, fabric wall coverings and mosaic tiles have been used.
As well as serving Peroni draught, the bar will stock a wide selection of traditional ales and top quality beers. There is also an extensive summer menu.
