Harpenden land Herts award
HARPENDEN TOWN FOOTBALL CLUB have been awarded Adult Charter Standard Status by the Hertfordshire Football Association.
The Rothamsted Park club become only the sixth adult football club in the county to receive this status and the award represents the culmination of 12 months work which has seen the club standardise the way it is run while creating a development plan to work towards.
Charter Standard Status signifies that Harpenden Town FC is committed to offering a safe and friendly environment to their own and visiting players, officials and supporters.
Said Club Chairman Brian Hicks said: "The club has recently appointed a completely new committee and management team and see the Charter Standard Status as a great way to rebuild the club.
"Harpenden Town FC has been treading water for the past few years and suffered both on and off the pitch, so with the support of the Hertfordshire FA through Charter Standard Status we hope to create a new, more community friendly club".
