Burger century garnishes run chase

SHANE BURGER scored an imperious 121 not out as table-topping Radlett thrashed Knebworth Park by ten wickets in the Home Counties League on Saturday.

The South African put on an astonishing unbroken 219 for the first wicket with Nick Fielden, who made 81 not out, as Radlett cruised to their target in just 39 overs.

The win cements their position at the top of the Division Two East table ahead of Saturday's crunch clash with Welwyn Garden City.

also make light work of a run chase, cruising past Harpenden's score of 276 with plenty to spare in their Herts League Division One clash thanks to a stunning hundred from Zeeshan Butt.

For a comprehensive round-up of all the local cricket action, don't miss Friday's edition of the Watford Observer.
