St Peter's land title

A TEAM from St Peter's Primary School were crowned Netball league champions after beating Fleetville in the schools netball finals.

The side made up of Year Six pupils from the school in Cottonmill Lane came out victorious at the competition that featured the winners from the various leagues in .

Year Three teacher Jolene Edmonds, who also coaches the girls was proud of her charges' achievement.

She said: "Our team were very strong because the girls played brilliantly together as a team. They listened to, and acted upon advice given to them.

"They have always been determined as well as polite and friendly."

St Peter's team: Nicole Bridges (captain), Laura Poknory, Sophie Hunt, Natasha Odell, Janki Chauhan, Anna Leach, Jasmine Selby, Rabia Khan, Rose Steggles, Rowen Seglh and Grace Cook.
