Did you see Santa?

EX-PAT Roy Netherton, now living in Canada, wonders if anyone can recall the arrival of Santa Claus at Fisk's which apparently would bring out families by the hundreds. Apparently Fisk's was opposite The Red Lion.

I certainly do remember Santa arriving at Fisk's and also later when it became Blundell's. We had a family friend who was a cashier at Fisk's in around 1954 and when you made a purchase the money was put into one of those little cylinders and placed into a tube where, as if by magic, it disappeared, but returned with the change and a receipt.
