Charity adopts new name

A CHARITY which has a base in Bricket Wood and three care homes in has changed its name.

PentaHact, a charity that supports people with learning disabilities, autism and mental health problems, has changed its name to Adepta.

The charity hopes the name shows its values of being adept, able and adaptable.

Cedric Fredrick, chief executive of Adepta, said: "Adepta as our name will allow our organisation to face the future with confidence.

"We believe that people will be encouraged to take a new look at us and at what we do.

"We hope this will lead to new requests for our services and to opportunities for us to work in new geographical areas."

The charity has three 24-hour residential care homes in and staff also offer home support, day centres and help with training and employment.
