Radlett fail to meet the Standard
RADLETT will play no further part in the Evening Standard Knockout Trophy after they were beaten by six-wickets at home to Oxford on Sunday.
David Taylor smashed a 38-ball half-century in Radlett's total of 204 but Oxford made light work of their target, cruising home with four overs to spare.
However, after two successive wash-outs, Radlett returned to league action in spectacular style on Saturday, squeezing past Stevenage by three wickets in a low-scoring game.
The men from Cobden Hill looked set for a one-sided victory when Shane Burger took eight wickets to roll Stevenage over for just 85. But Radlett made hard work securing the 25 points, losing seven wickets before scraping home.
Meanwhile in Division One of the Saracens Herts League, failed to chase down Langleybury's total of 224, slipping to a defeat that leaves them in the wrong half of the table.
