ABC Appeal News
Calendar girls (and boys)
A BEVY of burly blokes and fantastic females have stripped off for the Observer and OA Rugby's charity calendar.
Sales will boost the Observer's ABC (Action for Breast Cancer) campaign, which aims to raise £260,000 for equipment at the new breast cancer care clinic at City Hospital.
Hundreds of the calendars have already been sold but there are still some available.
Costing £4, the calendar can be purchased from the Review & Observer, The William Henry Building in , Old Albanians Sports Club in Harpenden Road, Dulcie's newsagent's in St Peter's Street, Westfield Stores in Abbey Avenue, Derby Stores in High Street, Sandridge, Colney Heath Newsagent's and at the C Patel (Nisa Today) shop in Chiswell Green.
Arlon Printers in Hemel Hempstead kindly printed the calendar for free and the men's and women's OA teams were more than happy to strike a pose for a good cause.
Robin Farrar from OA Rugby said: "When we heard of the excellent cause being supported, how could we refuse?
"We have wanted to produce a club calendar for some time, so the invitation to get involved immediately hit the spot.
"Everyone thoroughly enjoyed participating, even the outdoor shots which were taken on the coldest day of the year and were happy to set modesty aside for such a wonderful appeal."
